Jake DeJonge

We received the sad news that Jake DeJonge passed away last Tuesday. Jake was a priest in the Old Catholic church. Many years ago, in the period 2004 to 2010, he took services for us, now and again as a locum, at St. Mary's. Some of our members, who were here then, may remember him.

Prayer for the charities

Please continue to pray for the charities that we support. These are “Our Daily Bread” working in Ukraine, “Young Achievers” working with young people in Namibia, and the food bank in Goor.

Please also continue to bring non-perishable food items for the food bank collection in church.

Our Daily Bread has the following prayer requests for last week and this week:

5 July. Project Frontline: Yevhen and Natasha Nadiuk, Oleksandrivka (Donbas). On 2 July, seven bombs fell near the church in Oleksandrivka. Thankfully, no one was inside, although the building was damaged and several local people were injured. Please pray for Yevhen and his team as they repair the church, and for the congregation, that their church will once again be a place of safety, peace, and hope.

12 July. Project Future4Kids: Children Mission, KyivSummer is a quieter season for the Children Mission team as they update training materials and take time to rest. Please pray that each team member will be refreshed, strengthened, and well rested after a demanding year.
