St Mary's is more than a place of worship, it's a community. Much of what we do is only possible because of the time, skills, and generosity of our volunteers.
Whether you can help regularly or just occasionally, we'd love to hear from you. Whatever your experience or background, there's a place where your gifts can make a difference.

Help create a welcoming and meaningful worship experience by serving during services, preparing floral arrangement, supporting Holy Communion, reading Scripture, helping with Sunday School, or welcoming visitors.

Support the life of our church by helping with fellowship, hospitality, seasonal celebrations, and community events such as the English Castle Fair and Summer Teas.

Use your skills to support the day-to-day running of St Mary's through administration, finance, communications & marketing, gardening, maintenance, cleaning, photography, or by serving in leadership and governance roles such as the Chaplaincy Council.

Help build a welcoming church community by supporting fellowship, welcoming newcomers, organising social activities, or lending a helping hand wherever it's needed.

Throughout the year we occasionally have immediate opportunities where an extra helping hand is needed. This may include preparing for an upcoming event, helping with church cleaning, filling a Sunday rota, or supporting a specific church activity.
Current opportunities are shared through our Church Notices. If you don't see something that suits you, we'd still love to hear from you. There are always ways to get involved.
Volunteering is a wonderful way to become more involved in the life of St Mary's, meet new people, and use your gifts in service to others.
Whether you have a few hours each month or can make a regular commitment, every contribution helps strengthen our church community and enables us to continue serving others.
If you'd like to volunteer or simply find out more, we'd love to hear from you.
There is no obligation. We're always happy to have a conversation and help you find a role that matches your interests, skills, and availability.
