Summer Teas 2026


Join us for our annual Summer Teas at St. Mary’s Weldam. Enjoy a relaxing stop during your walk or cycling tour through the beautiful Hof van Twente countryside, with homemade cakes, coffee, and tea served in a peaceful setting. The chapel will be open for visitors throughout the afternoon, and from 4:00 PM you are welcome to experience a traditional Evensong service.

Congratulations!


Many congratulations to Jeanet and Lub who received "lintjes" (medals) today from the Burgemeester of the Hof van Twente, Mw. Ellen Nauta-van Moorsel. In recognition of their work for the Anglican Church Twente, over many years, Jeanet and Lub have received the royal award "Lid in de Orde van Oranje-Nassau".

Action Shoebox Presents 2025


On behalf of all children, at the receiving end of the shoeboxes, I would like to thank all the generous givers of 20 filled shoeboxes. These boxes will for sure paint a smile on the face of a child in need or a stressful situation.


On the 12thof November we delivered the boxes to the Ambt-Delden collection point. There they were united with a huge number of boxes which had been delivered already Monday afternoon.


For this moment it is not clear where the boxes will be heading. Early next year there will be a report from the organization with details on the delivery areas, which will be made available to you in our church magazine and on the website.

Morning Prayer on Thursday



There will be a service of Morning Prayer in the Hut every Thursday morning at 10:00.

Prayer for charities



Please continue to pray for the charities that we support. These are “Our Daily Bread” working in Ukraine, “Young Achievers” working with young people in Namibia, and the food bank in Goor. Please also continue to bring non-perishable food items for the food bank collection in church.

Zoom Evening Prayer


We have service of Evening Prayer on Monday evening at 19:00 on Zoom host by our Chaplain The Revd Jacque Williams.

Volunteering



  • The next church cleaning session is on Saturday 4th July starting at 10:00.

  • There is a list in the Hut to sign up to help with the Summer Teas. We need people to bake cakes and people to serve in the Tea Room on Sunday afternoons. Please sign up if you are able to help. 

  • The singing group for the Evensong services during Summer Teas will continue the practice sessions in the coming weeks.
